Being Muslim in High School...
Being a Muslim in High School is an educational series done by Michael Abraham for Muslim adolescents in America. In it, teenagers will learn about the typical patterns of psychology in their age group and how it effects teenage behavior patterns, decision-making, and emotions. Young people will also be taken through the typical trials that individuals in American society face during adolescence as understood in psychology (ages 12-15).
In this series youth will come to understand that appreciation for and cultivation of Islamic identity and exhibiting Islamic manners offers them solutions for the trials that adolescents typically face not only for themselves but for others as well. The emotional trials of exhibiting Islamic character in public will also be discussed and youth will be given practice strategies and ways of thinking and understanding their emotional management that can be used to overcome the challenges Muslim youth face in American and to live out healthy and productive lives as leaders in society.
